Sunday on the Chair

I’ve been trying to figure out how to write about something that happened this week.  Through the combined awesomeness of Brené BrownDanielle LaPorte and my best friend in the world, Allison I had an amazing realization.  We’ll call it a revolution on this road of personal evolution that I’m on.  The mirror has been held up.  The game has been changed.  I am fully awake to it.  I’m not exaggerating when I say that nothing will ever be the same again.

It’s just so raw and so deep that I don’t know how I’ll write about it here.  So, until I figure that out, I’m offering up this week’s instalment of Sunday on the Chair.  A couple of weeks ago when I took the self portrait standing on the chair in my rain boots, a few people encouraged me to start a series.  Above is week 3, and here is week 2.

About Debra Cowie

Debra is a photographer and visual storyteller based in Ottawa, Canada. She is an explorer at heart, whose passion for photography was born in travel and has been carried with her to more than 30 countries so far. Debra is also an avid cook and baker and much of her current work focuses on food styling and photography in her serendipitously beautifully lit kitchen. She has flirted with Polaroid and 35mm film photography but her true love is her DSLR (aka "Boyfriend Mark").
