Love at First Sight

I mentioned that I had ordered some expired Polaroid 600 film from an EBay seller. I had seen the gorgeous colours that others were getting with the film — colours that The Impossible Project hasn’t yet been able to achieve with their reengineered film — and I had to try it for myself. My first shot is above and I can say that I am deeply, madly in love.

I have two more packs of this film and I intend to use them in California while I am there for Camp Shuttersisters and my subsequent coastal road trip.  This film isn’t perfect. Any supply is by now expired so there are no guarantees. The colours though. They are magic. They make me smile.

I must have more of this film.

Can you blame me?

Even though the prices are obscene?

Now, the colours in these photos are enough to earn my undying love but this film brought me the magic moment, sitting in a pumpkin patch with my 5 year old niece watching her portrait materialize before our eyes.

  1. Love that expired 600. I have some, too, and Camp seems the perfect place to use it!

Can’t blame you at all, I wish I had some now though – I’ve tried the impossible project ones but they’ve already faded, boo. I love your photos.
